DEEP TISSUE

Deep Tissue massage uses sustained firm pressure and slow deliberate strokes to reach the deeper layers of muscles. This technique helps break up muscles adhesions and allows more oxygen and blood flow to muscles. Contrary to common belief, deep tissue massage should not hurt. Moore maintains communication with each each client to ensure a comfortable and effective experience that leaves both the muscles and the client relaxed.

INJURY ASSESSMENT AND TREATMENT

Massage therapy plays an important role as supplement to standard injury rehabilitation procedures. From muscle strains, to headaches, to plantar fasciitis, to just general wellness, Moore follows specific protocols for each injury. He uses his years of professional rehab education and experience to provide effective injury assessment and treatment within his scope of practice. By committing to a continual massage program, clients can accelerate the recovery process and aid in significant pain management.

TRIGGER POINT THERAPY

This modality focuses on releasing trigger points, which are contracted muscular knots that often refer pain to other areas of the body through nerve pathways. Trigger points are sensitive and sore with pressure and can be caused from an overuse/underuse of the muscle, poor posture, dehydration, nutrition, stress and direct trauma to the area. Moore uses slow static pressure on trigger points to help these knotted areas “melt”. The static pressure improves muscular circulation and relieves pain and referred pain in the body.

FULL BODY STRETCHING

Just like nutrition and exercise, stretching is an essential part of healthy living. Regardless of age or flexibly, stretching can help reduce muscle tension, increase joint rage of motion, improve posture, and reduce your risk for future injury. Moore provides stretching within massage treatments to give the full experience of wellness to clients.

MYOFASCIAL RELEASE

Myofascial release helps relieve tension throughout the body’s fascia, which is a broad connective tissue that surrounds the muscles. When a portion of the fascia becomes too tight in one area, often due to an injury or bad posture, the rest of the connective tissue in other areas become pulled and tense. This leaves the body feeling stiff and unbalanced with limited mobility. With myofiacical release, Moore helps stretch this connective tissue bringing more mobility, movement, and balance in the muscles and body.
